Ronald Stewart

Ron Stewart was a founder and the managing partner of Stewart Humpherys Burchett & Molin, LLP until his death in 2006. His practice concentrated primarily in personal injury and wrongful death litigation, medical and legal litigation, nursing home litigation, product liability and employment law litigation. From 1996 until his passing, Ron held the position of General Counsel for Special District Risk Management Authority (SDRMA) which is a full service risk management agency for California's local governments.

Ron Stewart was a native of Chico and born in 1939. He is survived by his wife, Joan, and their son Aaron Stewart, a 2007 Cornell law graduate. Ron's older son, Rick Stewart and his wife, live in Susanville, CA.

Ron Stewart was the Mayor for the City of Chico from 1975 - 1977 and a City of Chico, Council Member, from 1971 - 1979.

Although Ron Stewart is sorely missed, his vision of a preeminent highly rated law firm serving the needs of the Northern California community still exists today.
